How we run this event
These events carry an emotional weight corporate events don't. The family has been looking forward to it for months, and there's no room for anything to go wrong.
Our job is to translate: explain what every line of the quote means, what usually gets forgotten and where the costs go. Most scares come from things nobody mentioned in time, like corkage, venue overtime or meals for the other vendors' crews.
And we put a coordinator on site the day of, because the hosts should be enjoying their party, not checking whether the baker showed up.
